Alyssa here! When I was a sophomore in college, I went to Wayland for a graduation party all by myself. That is where I met Ethan for the first time! We ended up exchanging information, and I somehow convinced him to come down with Kyle to my mom's Labor Day party, we stayed up all night talking by the fire, and he went home that Monday. I remember telling my roommate, "I really like talking to this guy I met over the weekend, but it freaks me out how far away he lives." We kept in touch off and on as friends, but I was dating someone else for almost a year. I ended up being heartbroken from a breakup, and I needed someone to make me laugh.... so I texted my friend that lived 3.5 hours away (Ethan)! He came back down for Labor Day that year and honestly, the rest is history. The weekend after that, I went to spend the weekend in New York with him and we had our first date. Then, the weekend after that he asked me to be his girlfriend on September 21st, 2018. We did long distance for almost two years until I graduated college. After some moving around, we have finally settled into our townhouse in Fairport and we absolutely love it! Flash forward to the day before our 6 year anniversary, Ethan took me on a hike in Orchard Park at the Eternal Flame Falls where he asked me to marry him! He cried, I cried, and I forgot to give him my hand to put the ring on (naturally lol). Our best friends were there to surprise me afterward, and it honestly could not have been more perfect. I am so excited to marry my best friend, and we can't wait to celebrate with you guys!
