It all started at CrossFit Breckenridge during the Murph Memorial Day workout… Josh had even messaged me while I was hosting a retreat in Croatia—pretending to be interested in what we were doing (he wasn’t). When I returned to Breckenridge, he just happened to be co-teaching many of the CrossFit classes I was in, and I quickly realized something important: he was really funny. And I love a funny guy. At the time, I was planning to move to Fredericksburg, Texas to be closer to my best friends and back in my home state. I was not looking to start anything new. But about a month later, during Murph, I asked Josh to hold my dog Ralph’s leash while I finished the workout. Afterward, while telling him and a few friends that I’d be moving in just a few weeks, Josh later admitted that’s the exact moment he thought, “Well, I better ask her out now.” He asked me to go cold plunging (hard pass). For those of you who don't know, a cold plunge in the mountains is submerging yourself in the freezing river post workout for recovery. So we settled for a hike instead. We talked for hours, completely losing track of time. At the end, he invited me to dinner… and I told him I already had plans. Still, from that day on, we kept finding ourselves together—effortlessly, naturally—and before we knew it, everything had changed. The real icing on the cake came when Josh brought Ralph a toy back from a trip. That’s when I knew he was a keeper. Somewhere between hikes, laughter, and building something real, Texas plans were paused. Though we still dream of splitting our time between both places one day, Breckenridge became home. As we’ve built our relationship, we’ve also been building our businesses side by side—an experience that’s challenged us, strengthened us, and deepened our commitment to one another. Through it all, the laughter never stops. We can’t wait to build an adventurous life together—rooted in faith, love, play, and growth—and we’re so grateful to have you with us as we begin this next chapter.
