Why did we elope?

We have talked a lot about getting married and ultimately what's important to us is having an intimate gathering focused on us, saving money, and not wanting to wait anymore. Since Miguel's accident, the little things are what matter most to us so it was an easy choice to commit to an elopement that takes the pressure off planning and allows for us to look forward to a day that will truly be about us.

Will we have a reception?

Answer

Yes! We definitely plan on having a reception so that all our friends and family can come together and celebrate with us. Right now, our plan is to bring everyone together next year over Labor Day. We have quite a journey ahead of us with Miguel's healing. With that being said, he wants to be able to walk, dance, and be able to engage with our family in a way that wouldn't be comfortable for him right now. It'll be an opportunity for us to celebrate an anniversary with our family but also celebrate his health.
