Please RSVP by February 28, 2025, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)
Dress Code: Garden Formal We are super excited to embrace a beautiful, cohesive look for the day for all of our guests! • Colors: Shades and florals of blue inspired by Delftware. • Women: Dresses in soft blues or floral patterns, paired with flats, wedges, or chunky heels—no spiky heels, as we’ll be on grassy areas and boats. Bring a Light Jacket: It can get chilly in the evening, especially by the water. • Men: Navy blue or beige suits with ties for a polished garden party vibe. Welcome to The Netherlands, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather should be beautiful, averaging 58-65 degrees, but will get chilly at night. There is always a chance of rain. Generally speaking, it's best to pack a rain coat and umbrella, as well as some layers as it gets chillier in the evening. Wedding Day: We will be prepared in case it rains (tents and umbrellas!) Please bring a warm layer for the evening, we don't want anyone freezing their bu...well you get the point. ;)
Welcome Party: Hosted indoors Wedding: The event will be hosted outdoors in the backyard. We will have a tent and access to the inside of the home in the event of rain.
Welcome drinks: You can walk, bike, or taxi to the WAAG. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from Leiden Centraal/ Hotel. Parking discouraged - not a ton of parking in Leiden downtown! Wedding: We strongly discourage driving, as it is in a residential area. Taxis are highly recommended and very quick - it's about a 10 minute drive from Leiden Centraal to Paul & Willemien's Home.
We’d love for you to take photos and share them with us! However, during the ceremony, please put your phones and cameras away—we’ve hired a wonderful photographer to capture the moment, and we’d like you to be fully present with us. Thank you!
