Most guests will fly into Heraklion International (HER) or Chania Airport (CHQ). Both are approximately 1-1.15 hours away from Gerani, Rethymno or Old Town Reythmno.
We recommend arriving 1-2 days before the wedding to settle in, adjust to the time zone, and enjoy the island.
You can take a taxi, private transfer, or rental car from HER or CHQ. Expect a 60-75 minute scenic drive.
U.S. passport holders do not need a visa for tourist stays under 90 days in Greece. Passports must be valid for at least 3 months after your return date.
A small group of immediate family will be staying with us at a villa in Gerani, Rethymno. For all other guests, we've curated a list of beautiful boutique hotels or villas nearby in the Rethymno region (see travel section).
While not required, we highly recommend renting a car. It makes exploring the beautiful island easier and offers the most flexibility. Please keep in mind you may need a International Driving Permit (IDP). If you prefer not to drive, local transfer services and taxis can be arranged in advanced.
We will be providing complimentary private bus transportation for all guests to and from the wedding venue. The bus will depart from our villa and return to the same location after the celebration. Guests staying elsewhere are welcome to meet at the villa and ride with us. For added flexibility, free parking is also available at Agreco Farms if you prefer to drive yourself. Exact departure and return times will be shared closer to the wedding date.
