Things To Do

French Quarter Phantoms Ghost Tours New Orleans

718 North Rampart Street, New Orleans, LA 70116
, 5046668300

No trip to New Orleans is complete without doing a ghost tour! This company is my absolute favorite, and even though I've been to New Orleans tons of times I take a tour with them every time and still learn something new! My favorite is the ghost and vampire tour but they have tons of options!

Mardi Gras World

1380 Port of New Orleans Place, New Orleans, LA 70130
, 5043617821

This is a MUST. Mardi Gras World allows you to experience Mardi Gras without actually attending. Try some King Cake, grab some beads and see all the floats Learn how they are made and see current floats being created right before your eyes. This company also offers a FREE shuttle from the French Quarter to Mardi Gras World and back to your desired location.

Cajun Encounters Tours

941 Decatur Street, New Orleans, LA 70116
, 5048341770

The bayou is a big part of New Orleans history and culture. Take a tour and get up close and personal with the swamp puppies. Most of the tour companies have a pickup location right in the French Quarter so no car is necessary!

Garden District

New Orleans, LA

I highly recommend checking out the garden district for the stunning New Orleans homes, all with beautiful landscaping and during this very special time of year, the extravagant Halloween Decorations. Magazine Street is the go to for upscale shopping and boutiques. You can do this by taking a guided walking tour of the area or by simply hoping on the trolley that runs up and down Canal Street.

New Orleans StreetCars

Before you start your streetcar journey, it’s important to know how to get started in the first place. If you’re paying with cash, correct change is required. For adults, that means $1.25 per ride (children aged five to 12th grade are $0.50 and seniors/riders with disabilities are $0.40). Prefer cashless? Download Le Pass, the official app of the New Orleans RTA to see routes with live updates, purchase passes, and get more information about accessibility.
