High school sweet hearts, forever soul mates! Trenton and I started dating each other at the youthful age of 16 and have been together for a grand total of 8 years! We attended high school together and were set up by some friends. When I first started talking to Trenton, I was always so confused as to why this boy would stand by my locker and walk me to class each day…turns out he had the biggest crush! We did all the cheesy high school dates but some of our favorites include: going to the community center to shoot hoops, riding our bikes to Dairy Queen, and eating an entire bowl of movie theater popcorn (some things haven’t changed). After graduating high school, we attended different colleges and began the journey of a long distance relationship! After four long years, we are now starting our lives together with our sweet pup Nora! We can’t wait to tie the knot and ring in year nine together!

The trip Courtney planned to Duluth, but Trenton had bigger plans! A week leading up to the big day, Trenton wouldn’t stop bothering me about what hikes we were doing on Saturday, September 19th. Me, the planner I am, planned out the entire weekend full of hikes and adventures with our friends Ben and Liah. Little did I know, Trenton was making plans of his own! After hiking all day along the Northshore, eating his sandwich in 0.2 seconds for lunch (due to the nerves I assume), and running late (because we all know me), we made it to our final stop…the Split Rock Lighthouse! Ben and Liah began to take our picture as Trenton said “oh look what’s behind you?”. I looked behind me and there stood my sisters, Kelsey and Ashley, with a sign that said “will you marry me?”. Of course, the tears began to fall. I turned around to find Trenton down on one knee! While wiping my tears, I said YES!! Just wait…it gets even better! After the big proposal, Trenton suggested getting a celebratory drink at a brewery. We got to the brewery where all our friends and family surprised me to celebrate us! It was a beautiful weekend, full of surprises, love and support from our friends and family. We can’t wait to have everyone join us on our special day!
