We met at a local pet store. Courtney had just moved to New York and took a job at the store while she waited for her nursing license. Jacob was working there during the COVID pandemic. We quickly became friends during the six months we worked together. And when Jacob left the store our friendship turned to something more.

A few days before thanksgiving, while on a trip to Charleston to visit family for holiday, Jacob insisted that Courtney show him around the city alone a day before everyone arrives. After a fun day exploring we walked along the battery and talked about our future. Not long after, while sitting under an oak tree in White Point Gardens, Jacob got down on one knee and asked Courtney to marry him. And of course, she said YES! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Charleston!

This is a very common question we have gotten since setting our venue. Charleston is a special city to Courtney. She grew up visiting her grandparents in their home multiple times a year and has always dreamed of a Charleston wedding like her parents. When Jacob proposed in Charleston, it became a special place to us both. We both loved the idea of having the wedding in a place with so much family history. And we hope this time visiting Charleston helps you fall in love with this historic city like we have.
