Alena and Courtney became friends while working at the Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek, Colorado. On one of Courtney’s very first days working her first job post college (that she was very nervous for), she filed paperwork for Alena who made Courtney feel right at home. They became close friends and hiking buddies during Covid. They’ve gone on some amazing adventures together; camping in Ouray, CO, exploring Bear Lake in Utah (where they got harassed by a Travis Barker lookalike- it’s something they can now laugh about), and exploring* Alena’s current home of Park City, Utah. This picture is from a fun ski trip to visit beautiful Park City!

Courtney and her dad have lots of foodie loves in common. He would take her out on dad-daughter dates to a mussels spot on the North Side of Pittsburgh called Point Bruges. In this photo, Courtney and Lance are at one of their favorite brunch spots in Vail, CO called Vintage, a fun French bistro. They both love to ski, and have skied together all over the Rockies and Sierras Mountains. It’s been Lance’s lifelong goal to introduce Courtney to all the ski towns so she could pick where she wanted to move post-college. And we are all so thankful she ended up in Beaver Creek to eventually meet Cody!
