Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be parking available at the event for those who wish to drive, and you are free to leave your car overnight but it must be picked up by 10am. There will be a shuttle going to and from The Eddy Hotel and the La Quinta to provide transportation to and from the event. Pickup time is 2:30pm at the Eddy, and 2:50 at the La Quinta. The shuttle will depart at the end of the event right after 10pm and will drop off at both hotels. If you are not staying at either hotel, feel free to still drive to the hotels and take the shuttles. **Please note that to venture into the mountains, you are legally required to have an all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Question

What is the recommended attire?

Answer

Semi-formal or cocktail attire is recommended for our wedding. Please note, our ceremony will take place outdoors (on turf). Our cocktail hour and reception will take place inside the venue.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Late February in Colorado can be somewhat unpredictable, so we will keep everyone updated as we get closer to the event. The current forecast is telling us it should be around 40-50 degrees and mostly sunny.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

With respect, with the exception of immediate family, we have decided to have our wedding and reception be an adult-only occasion.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be hosted at Woodlands. We ask that you please arrive 30 minutes early, at 3:30pm to ensure we can start on time, at 4pm. The ceremony site is steps outside of the reception venue. Cocktail hour and the reception will be hosted inside.

Question

Will the altitude affect me?

Answer

Please be aware that the altitude affects everyone differently. Denver sits at an elevation of 5,280 feet and our venue sits at elevation of 7,500 feet. If you're joining us at Winter Park on Thursday, Winter Park sits at an elevation of 9,100 feet. We recommend you carry water everywhere you go & drink it even when you don't feel thirsty :) The elevation may make you feel winded quicker than normal. If this is the case, we recommend you purchase Boost Oxygen, available in majority of CO stores are resort shops.

Question

I'm driving to the wedding; can I leave my car parked overnight?

Answer

Yes, vehicles can be left at Woodlands overnight but must be picked up the next day by 10AM.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

This event will not have a plated dinner. There will be multiple food stations, allowing guests to customize their dinner selection(s). That being said, for any especially sensitive allergies, please reach out to the Groom (berkeleleyvogelheim@gmail.com) with anything we should be aware of.

Question

Can I take pictures during the wedding and reception and post on social media?

Answer

We ask that no photos are being taken during the ceremony, however you're welcome to take photos during cocktail hour and the reception. Please tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #onceuponaheim so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Question

I cannot be there in person, will the wedding be filmed?

Answer

We will not be live streaming our wedding, however we will have a videographer onsite. We promise to share our wedding photos and video once they are received from our vendor.
