Excursions
Excursions include rafting, a volcano hike, ziplining, a waterfall hike, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, city tours and many more! Keep in mind that many excursions will be half day or full day events that may be quite a ride from the resort. You can book excursions through the Dreams Resort’s Amstar office, either in advance or when you arrive. See the Amstar link below for more information. You can also go through Ulf Halbgebauer Briceño Real Tours. He is a local that can be contacted through Facebook who Anna and Court highly recommend. Sloth and White Water Rafting Excursion
Leading up to the wedding the wedding couple plans on going white water rafting and to the cage-free sloth sanctuary in Bijagua Ranas, a 1 1/2 hour trip from the resort. For those who would like to join, there will be an RSVP so we can save you a spot. A bus will be at the resort around 7am that will take us to the river where we will white water raft on class 3 or 4 rivers (intermediate level). For those who want a calmer experience, there will be a more scenic raft route or you can head into town to explore. Afterwards we’ll stop for lunch before heading to the sloth sanctuary. We will be back at the resort around 4:30pm. We are planning this for Wednesday, April 24. Please do not feel obligated to join, this is just an additional opportunity to explore what Costa Rica has to offer. Price: $175 US cash per person, which includes transportation, activities, and lunch. Please bring a bathing suit, water shoes if you would like, change of clothes, and comfortable walking shoes.
Turtle Hatching
Help release baby turtles into the water! Something Anna has always wanted to experience! A bus would leave from the resort at 7:45pm and arrive back at 9:45pm. This excursion is dependent on possible nesting nights. Since this is dependent on hatch’s we will play it by ear.
