Maid of Honor
My danibird. My best friend since the end of freshman year of college. She is the most hilarious, most supportive, most genuine friend I could ever ask for. I am my best self when I am with her, and am so incredibly thankful that she is part of my life. Dani is the kind of person that makes life so much more fun and bright, so of course I need her at my side to celebrate the beginning of my marriage with Doug.
Best Man
B-rad G is my brother from another mother. Our best-friendship status started in high school while riding the band bus and we have been close ever since. Brad's support and presence in my life is never-failing. He is the first friend I call when celebrating my successes or to have a good vent.
Bridesmaid
Ashley messaged me on Facebook before the start of law school asking to be roommates, and the rest is history. Not only did I find a roommate for all three years of law school, but I found a friend who would be my rock through it all. From Day 1, Ashley has been a genuine, empathetic, and supportive friend to me. (literally though . . . I got too drunk on our FIRST night out and she took care of me without complaint . . . she barely knew me . . . what a saint). I don't know how I would have made it through law school and beyond without her and am so thankful that she is one of my bridesmaids! Also, she has been the BEST with helping me plan the wedding!
Groomsman
Pat and I have known each other since elementary school where we met playing drums in band. Pat is wise beyond his years. One of the things I love about Pat is his ability to be honest and graceful in one moment and hilariously inappropriate in the next.
Bridesmaid
Linzy is my younger sister, but everyone (even Doug when they met!) assumes she is the oldest because of how well she takes care of all of her siblings and those she loves. I can always count on Linzy to be there for me. I am so proud of my intelligent, loving, and successful sister. It was a no-brainer that I absolutely needed Linzy to help me through all of the planning and to provide her loving support by my side during the ceremony!
Groomsman
Brad is my older brother. Everyone who knows Brad knows he is the kindest, most patient and joy-filled person in my life. Just ask him about Philly sports or Civil War History and he'll talk your ear off for hours! I would not be the person I am today without him.
Bridesmaid
I highly doubt those of you reading this have never heard me tell a hilarious and insane story about my amazing baby sister, Ashly. I shudder to think how boring my life might have been without her. For as long as I remember, Ashly has been making me laugh. Aside from providing endless entertainment, though, Ashly is such a great example to me as one of the most disciplined, determined, and hardworking people I have ever met. I could not imagine her not being by my side as I begin this new chapter of my life.
Groomsman
Johnny and I are high school friends who met in marching band (see a theme here?). Johnny has been a consistent friend and support through the years. He has my back in real life and when we nerd out on video games.
Bridesmaid
I always think of Michaela as my blessing from God because she came into my life at a time when I really needed a loving, encouraging, Christian friend like her. We met the summer before senior year of high school and have been best friends ever since. Michaela brings out my weirdness and we have so much fun together. She has been one of the most supportive and encouraging influences in my life, and I am so thankful to have that support with her standing by me as I marry Doug.
Groomsman
Katie's brother Matt and I met and bonded last New Years. While Katie was sleeping Matt and I played guitar hero, took shots, and obnoxiously woke up Katie at midnight. Matt is absolutely hilarious and I am so excited to have him on my line!
Bridesmaid
Clarebear and I go all the way back to when we were just little tots running around the backyards in Oakhurst and building villages out of a deck of cards in her basement, but we really grew close in high school. Clare and I bonded over our mutual love of seeking out adventure and thrill, and our encouragement for one another to be unapologetically ourselves. Our friendship is incredibly special because it has survived us living in different states and barely seeing one another for almost a decade now. I really cannot imagine my life without her, and certainly couldn't imagine beginning my new chapter with Doug without her by my side.
Groomsman
Nathan was one of the first of Katie's friends that I met. I was happy to meet such a colorful and funny guy to share my passion for music with. From jam sessions to deep philosophical discussions I'm glad I stole him from Katie.
Flowergirls
Katie's "nieces" (really her cousin Sami's children) will be our flowergirls! We are so excited to have these little nuggets be a part of the wedding!
Best Dog
Unfortunately, Hamilton won't be at the wedding. He played his part during the proposal by holding the ring around his neck! But we're obviously obsessed with him and had to include him as Best Dog anyway. What a good boy.
