Flight
Most flights from the U.S. to Florence involve a connection through a major European hub, such as Paris, Frankfurt, or Amsterdam, before arriving at Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR). Alternatively, you can fly into Rome or Milan and take a high-speed train to Florence’s Santa Maria Novella Train Station. This option is often more affordable if flying out of a major U.S. city. We recommend exploring both options to find the itinerary that works best for you!
Travel Note
If you do not currently have a passport, we recommend applying as soon as possible, as processing times can take several weeks or longer. If your passport expires in 2025 or early 2026, we also suggest renewing it ahead of time. U.S.-EU travel regulations require that your passport be valid for at least three months beyond your return date from Italy. For example, if you plan to return shortly after the wedding in September 2025, your passport should be valid through at least December 2025.
