The Legends is 5 minutes from Margaritaville and offers over 100 stores and restaurants to explore.
Public Market
Our first apartment was right next to the Public Market, so we spent a lot of time here. It is a great spot for all ages to get together. There are a variety of pop-up restaurants, bars, and games inside. Our favorite food spot is African Dream Cuisine. The Public Market plays live music every Friday night and the local farmers market is held every Saturday morning in the surrounding area.
Jack Stack Barbeque
If this is your first time in KC, we HIGHLY recommend trying some BBQ while you are in town. Jack Stack is one of our favs. The Kansas City combo with a side of cheesy corn bake and carrot cake for dessert is our go-to order.
Grand Street Cafe
If you are looking for a fancy lunch or dinner spot, this is the place to go. We LOVE the happy hour menu!
Saints Pub & Patio
Saints is our favorite sports bar in the area and it has a great patio!
Made In KC
This is a great spot to go if you want to do some shopping and support local KC brands! You can also book a game of shuffleboard and enjoy their bakery/drink menu.
Lenexa City Center Library
For those traveling with kids, this is a great spot to explore! It is located right next to the Public Market. They have daily events posted on their website.
Central Green Park
This was our favorite place to take Bruce on his daily walks. They offer bike rentals and have a variety of trails to explore. To rent an e-bike, you can download the Bike Share KC app!
