A typical weekend climbing trip to Red River Gorge turned into the beginning of our forever! Our incredible friend group, lovingly nicknamed Goof Troop, was in on the plan and helped execute the moment. The boys picked out the perfect location on a previous trip and they all kept the secret until the special day! Cameron, manned the camera on a nearby ledge. Zach hopped on his climbing route and got to a perfect ledge that had just enough space for him to stand and wait. Emily had a feeling the proposal was happening on that trip, but didn’t know that this was the moment. She was unknowingly taking a long time to put her climbing shoes and helmet on while Zach stood on his ledge about 40 feet in the air. She made her way up and Zach pulled her up to meet him on the ledge where he got down on one knee and popped the question! She obviously said yes, but carefully put the ring back in the box so it didn’t get lost or dropped. They both finished climbing their routes and then came down to celebrate with all of their favorite people! Red River Gorge will forever hold a special place in our hearts!
