During the summer of 2018, Josh and Costanza were gearing up for the upcoming school year at Fusion Academy Alexandria. The training was a magical experience - more specifically, Josh was wearing a unicorn horn for the majority of the first day. While they wouldn't begin dating until the next calendar year, Costanza made a mental note: "That seems like a decent human being." ~ Nell'estate 2018, Josh e Costanza stavano per cominciare l'anno scolastico come insegnanti alla Fusion Academy di Alexandria. Josh and Costanza became fast friends. They went out for dinner with fellow teachers, played tabletop roleplaying games (think Dungeons & Dragons), and gave lessons to each other (he taught her choral history, she taught him about magma crystallization). Eventually, he asked her out. Loathe to risk their friendship, she asked him for a month to make up her mind. It took far less than a month, but it did take a spring break roadtrip to Georgia, during which she sent him numerous photos of trees and rocks. ~ Josh and Costanza sono diventati amici per la pelle. When Costanza finally accepted a first date, she was about to head off to a weekend wedding that would last from Friday evening through to Sunday. Josh, determined not to waste a moment, asked if she was free Saturday evening. Josh was dedicated. He drove an hour and a half to take Costanza out on their first date at a steakhouse, March 30, 2019. Costanza was promptly served raw meat, disguised as filet mignon. Things were clearly going great. Nonetheless, they both enjoyed themselves and a second date was on the books. ~ La settimana che Costanza ha accettato la richiesta di Josh, doveva andare ad un matrimonio piuttosto lontano. When the opportunity arose for Costanza to become the Assistant Director of a new Fusion Academy down in North Carolina, Josh - who was already applying to graduate programs - applied to the political science program at Duke University. Things fell into place, and the two planned to move down to Raleigh, North Carolina, in April 2020. The original plan ended up slightly modified, due to a worldwide pandemic, but by the time summer was over the two had fully moved into their new home with a lot of helping hands from both sides of the family. ~ Quando Costanza ha accettato l'incarico di vicedirettrice di una nuova Fusion Academy in Nord Carolina, Josh - che stava facendo richiesta di ammissione a vari programmi di master - ha pensato a Duke University e i due hanno deciso di trasferirsi a Raleigh, Nord Carolina nell’aprile del 2020. Josh and Costanza had already talked about marriage and had even set a date after Josh asked for her parents' blessing. But there was still the small matter of actually proposing. While Costanza went to wash her hair after a long day at work, Josh instead went to work transforming the apartment into a candlelit scavenger hunt. When Costanza emerged, she found rose petals and a note outside the bathroom door. This was the first clue of many, taking her on a tour of the apartment while chronicling all the wonderful moments they had shared over the past year. The final clue led Costanza out to the balcony, where more candles, a bouquet of red and white roses, and a somewhat nervous Josh were waiting with the ring. He asked. She said yes. ~ Josh e Costanza avevano già parlato di matrimonio ed avevano anche fissato la data dopo che Josh aveva chiesto la mano di Costanza ai suoi genitori. Ma c'era ancora il dettaglio del fidanzamento.
