Even though a lot of people say you can't find love in the club, we did!!! I was bartending at Diesel Nightclub in the South Side when I first met Cory. It was Halloween and he was clearly indulging on vodka Redbulls because he was talking my ear off. Fast forward to the biggest drinking day of the year, the night before Thanksgiving. I requested that night off from bartending to go out with some friends and just so happened to run into Cory at Jimmy D's. This time the tables were turned and I was the one who drank too many vodka Redbulls. We ended up exchanging numbers, which including me dropping my phone and spelling my own last name wrong (which Cory refuses to change until my last name is Lotis). The next day I got a text from Cory and we talked all weekend. I was in Washington DC visiting my family while he was at hunting camp. We were both coming back home the following Monday and made plans to go to a show on Tuesday at The Rex. Our night was amazing which led to our next date at PF Changs. From that first date our relationship just kept getting better. We eventually moved in together, have traveled all over the world, and adopted the best dog in the entire universe, our baby boy Kyro. After 3 years Cory asked me to marry him. We were at the Giant Pumpkin Festival on the North Shore when he proposed. We both knew we wanted to get married in the fall so we set our date for 10/24/2020 to have a longer engagement and make sure our wedding was everything we've dreamed about!
