FAQs

The Wedding Website of Emily Alford and Cory Neat
Have a burning question that you aren’t finding an answer to here? Please feel free to reach out to the bride or groom by phone.
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1st...or forever hold your peace (and seat). After this date, our guest list is locked in for seating and catering with our wonderful vendor team and we, unfortunately, won’t be able to accommodate late RSVPs. You can submit your acceptance or decline by navigating to the “RSVP” section of our website and entering your name. All invited members of your party will populate, and you can proceed with your response for each person.

Question

Can I bring a Plus One?

Answer

While we’re sure we’d love your date, we have been very intentional with our guest list. In order to provide the experience we’re dreaming of for our nearest and dearest friends and family, we are only able to accommodate the guest(s) who are formally listed on your invitation.

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Although we love all of your little ones, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adults-only event with the exception of those within our immediate families. We appreciate your understanding as we create an intimate atmosphere for our wedding day.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

We invite you to join us in cocktail attire! For men, this could be a lightweight suit or dress shirt with trousers, and for women, a cocktail dress, dressy separates, or an elegant jumpsuit. We kindly ask for no casual wear such as jeans, tennis shoes, or leggings. Since the event will be both indoors and outdoors, we recommend dressing comfortably for the warm weather but also bringing layers in case it gets cooler in the evening on the rooftop. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style on our special day!

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Answer

Our venue offers a seamless and beautiful experience from ceremony to celebration. Weather permitting, we'll exchange vows on the stunning 5th floor terrace, followed by cocktail hour in the same elegant outdoor space. Dinner will be served indoors on the same floor, and then we'll return outside to dance the night away under the city lights!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the venue no later than 5:15pm (aka, pulling into a parking space at 5:00pm!) to ensure you're comfortably seated before our 5:30pm ceremony begins. Since we're celebrating on a Friday evening in downtown Indianapolis, please allow extra time for potential traffic and construction delays. A little extra buffer time will help you relax and ensure you don't miss our special moment! While ample street parking is available around the immediate area, we suggest using the venue's secure, attached parking garage for $10 per car (overnight parking included). Once you arrive, take the elevators to the 5th floor.

Question

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

The Regions Tower offers convenient parking in its attached, secure garage. Beginning at 5:00pm, parking is discounted, and guests are welcome to leave their cars overnight.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

The show will go on! Our venue can easily move the full schedule of events inside.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We feel a little silly even including this question... Do you know who's wedding you're attending? Beer, wine, cocktails and N/A beverages are ALL covered for the night. The next day consequences, however, are on you. With that said, you're invited because you mean a lot to us! Please drink responsibly, and have a plan for how you're getting home at the end of the night. If you choose to drive to the venue, you can leave your vehicle overnight in the garage. Uber & Lyft are also readily available downtown to get you back home safely, or you can plan ahead and reserve a hotel room within one of our hotel blocks- just steps away from our venue.

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

Come hungry! Cocktail hour will include a variety of passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by a three course plated dinner with a duo beef & chicken entree. We'll even have a late-night snack to keep the celebration going later in the evening! Note: We want every one of our guests to feel comfortable, so please note any dietary restrictions on your RSVP along with the associated guest, and we'll be sure to accommodate your needs.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We've secured room blocks at two convenient downtown hotels, within two blocks of our wedding venue: • Aloft Indianapolis Downtown (Marriott) • Home2 Suites Indianapolis Downtown (Hilton) Both hotels offer easy walking access and special discounted rates for our wedding guests. Room blocks are available through May 12th, or until they're fully booked. Detailed booking information and direct reservation links can be found in the “Accommodations” section of our website. Important note: Multiple large events are scheduled downtown during our wedding weekend, including a concert, three conventions, and a city-wide festival. We strongly recommend reserving your room early to ensure availability!

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We've already built our home and started our family, so we’ve decided to forgo traditional registry gifts. If you'd like to celebrate our love, we would be deeply touched by a contribution to our honeymoon fund, which will help us continue to do what we love- create unforgettable memories together by traveling- this time to Thailand!
