Cory and Emily’s story started in 2021, with a little help from fate, family, and some perfectly questionable timing. Emily had just wrapped up a pretty lackluster date and showed up late to her aunt and uncle’s annual St. Patrick’s Day party, where her aunt and cousin- who coaches football with Cory- were waiting to introduce her to someone they thought she should meet…Enter Cory. After a few laughs, some teasing, and one very cheesy pick-up line about her dogs, the spark between the two was instant and undeniable. Immediately after leaving the party, Cory sent a Facebook friend request- and put the ball in Emily’s court. Emily took a few days to do what women do best…After fully dissecting every nook and cranny of Cory’s social media and contacting mutual friends for references, she asked her cousin for Cory’s number. What started as a casual “Who is this?” text quickly turned into long FaceTime calls (Emily hates these), even longer text threads (Cory hates these more), nonstop laughter, and that “oh wow, this feels different” kind of connection. Since that lucky night, they’ve checked plenty off their shared bucket list: trips around the U.S., beach escapes to the Caribbean and Mexico, and their all-time favorite adventure, a dreamy two-week trip through Italy with a pit stop in Paris. In 2022, they bought their first home together, and in 2024, they set off on their greatest adventure yet- welcoming their son, Bryce, into the world. What began as an unexpected meeting on a random holiday has turned into a life full of laughter, love, and adventure. Now, they can’t wait to start the next chapter by saying “I do!” surrounded by all their favorite people.
