We met serendipitously one night while out with our respective friends in Washington, DC. After Cory gallantly helped Kathryn find her missing wallet, we planned a date for the next weekend and talked for hours over gin & tonics. It wasn’t long until we were introducing each other to their friends & family and well, here we are!

We were planning a trip to Amsterdam for Theo’s (now Cory’s best man!) wedding and decided to extend our time in Europe to include Paris & London. We wanted to make our first day in Paris leisurely and spent the day wandering the city, collecting various cheeses, wine, and baguettes for our picnic dinner that evening. One train ride to the Eiffel Tower later, we set up a picnic blanket along the bank of the Seine and settled into a quiet, perfect evening. As the evening was winding down, Cory found the perfect moment to propose and was met with an enthusiastic YES from Kathryn. Next was (of course) a quick jaunt to the Champ de Mars for a celebratory cheers of champagne under a sparkling Eiffel Tower, in proper Parisian style. We call it nauseatingly perfect, and that’s just how we love it.
