Every great love story has a spark, but ours just happened to begin at Christmas time, with a few Hinge messages, some espresso martinis, and a pair of “Ho Ho Ho” earrings (just keep reading… lol). December 20, 2024 is where our story begins ❤️ We like to joke that we each have slightly different versions of how the night went, but one thing we both knew within the first five minutes was: “I think I just found my person.” So yes… we are officially proof that Hinge does work. Two hopeless romantics who had spent years praying for their future spouse decided to give dating apps one last try, and God clearly had a plan ready and waiting!! We had only exchanged a handful of messages that night before realizing we were both at Christmas parties… just miles apart in New Albany, Indiana. So we thought, Why wait? We met at The Exchange Pub & Kitchen, grabbed seats in their Christmas bar (yes, the one literally wrapped in Christmas paper), and ordered espresso martinis 🍸🤎 And for the record — Cortnie DID debate taking off her festive “Ho Ho Ho” earrings before the date. Thankfully, she didn’t, because Bailey thought they were adorable and immediately liked her even more. Meanwhile, Cortnie was trying to play it cool as Bailey mentioned he was new to the area and looking for a church to attend. In that moment, she knew… this was an answered prayer!! We could’ve talked all night, and by the time date one ended, date two was already planned: church that Sunday at Southeast Christian Church, where Cortnie grew up. That Sunday turned into coffee, Christmas shopping, lunch… and basically spending the entire day together. From that moment on, we were inseparable. We rang in 2025 together with Cortnie’s family and friends, and since then have shared so many adventures visiting St. Louis, Florida, the Bahamas, and countless little ones along the way including several trips to Clearwater. When we’re not traveling, Bailey can be found passionately talking about Coca-Cola (yes, he is the hardest working man ever), while Cortnie fills him in on her latest TJ Maxx finds and what kind of ice cream they need to get after dinner. We love sharing a good brownie sundae, visiting breweries and wineries, movie nights, concerts, sporting events, spoiling our dog Baker, and most of all… our Sunday morning church dates. Our story is truly an answered prayer — written in God’s perfect timing and filled with the kind of love that feels like home. God has been at the center of it all, and we are so grateful for this long-awaited blessing ❤️❤️ We cannot wait to say “I do” on August 22, 2026, and we hope you’ll be there to celebrate the start of our forever! 💍❤️
