Travel to Crested Butte

There are a few choices on how to get to Crested Butte. Colorado has 4 Airports to pick from that you can find flights to: Denver: (DEN) - This is the most cost effective as Southwest, Spirit, and all the other major airlines fly into it, but it is a 4 hour drive to town. Colorado Springs: (COS) - This is a medium sized airport that American flys to and it is only a 3 hour drive to Crested Butte and Rental cars are about 10% cheaper due to lower taxes compared to Denver. Gunnison: (GUC) - This is the closest to Crested Butte (35 minutes), but also the most expensive. There are only 1 -3 flights per day. Small Rental car counter on sight. There is a free bus that Runs between Gunnison and Crested Butte every 15 minutes if you do not wish to have a rental car. Montrose: (MTJ) - Is about 1 hour 20 away from Crested Butte, but cheaper than Gunnison. There are more flights to pick from, but not near as much as Denver or Colorado Springs. Rental cars on site.
