Humboldt County Airport
Humboldt County Airport is about a 10 minute drive to Arcata and is home to two airlines, United Airlines and Avelo Airlines. If flying in, there are rental car options as well as shuttles and taxi service. We would suggest checking with your hotel to see if they have a complimentary shuttle. As this is somewhat of a small town you may need to call and schedule taxi service ahead of time. Uber and Lyft options are limited.

All four car rental companies are available at the Humboldt County Airport. If you are looking for an alternative, the Turo app is a great way to rent cars affordably. It allows you to rent a car owned by a local in the area. I have used this many times in my travels and it has always been a great option.

This is where we stayed when we first came to Arcata to view the venue. It is a lovely hotel with an indoor pool/hot tub, a great complimentary breakfast, and close proximity the airport. They also provide a free shuttle to and from Humboldt County Airport. We have a block of rooms here for a discounted rate until September 10th 2024. This hotel is 13 minutes away from the wedding venue and 9 minutes away from the airport. It also has a pool, hot tub, and breakfast provided. Airbnb is a great option for staying in Arcata, there are a lot of beautiful and affordable homes. You can also search for homes in Eureka which is about a 10 minute drive from Arcata. If you know other individuals coming to the wedding, renting a home with multiple bedrooms and splitting the price is a great way to keep the costs low!
