In 2012 I was living in Las Vegas and enjoying my early 20s when my best friend Brook asked me to be her maid of honor at her wedding. I had never met her fiancé before but was excited to get to know him and for their journey together. I flew home and attended the wedding in Lake Tahoe where I met Justin who was the best man. There was no initial sparks, and it was not love at first sight. We walked the isle together and made small talk but two days later I was back to my fast paced life in Vegas. Over the years when I would visit Brook and Nik, they would tell me about Justin and their fun times together. We never crossed paths again until December of 2018. At the time I was living in Austin but had already decided to move back to Las Vegas in the spring to be closer to friends and family. Brook invited me to go to Lake Tahoe with her and a group of friends for New Years Eve. After flying back home, Brook introduced me to some new friends and some I had remembered from the wedding. We attended a party at two nights before NYE where unbeknownst to me I would meet my future mother and sister in law; and reconnect with Justin. We all hung out together for the next few days and had a great time in Lake Tahoe where Justin and I shared a sweet NYE kiss. I still believe this was a set up by the way, as at the time all the other friends were paired up, leaving Justin and I to be the only two single ones in the group lol. After that trip to Lake Tahoe, I went back to Austin and Justin went back to Los Angeles. Once again I did not think anything of our time together other than he and the group were fun to hang out with. A few days later I received a message on Instagram, he had found me. We chatted for months and after I moved back to Las Vegas in late March he asked if he could come visit me. In April he drove to Las Vegas and we went on our first official date. After that we did not go more than a month without one of us driving or flying to see the other. Thank you for sharing this second walk with us. - Corrine
