The dress code is cocktail, a slight step-up from semi-formal. For the ladies, this means cocktail, midi, or maxi dresses; nicer jumpsuits; or a dressy pants and top. I can confirm that the venue is stiletto-friendly, if you're so inclined! For the gents, a suit or blazer and dress slacks, tie optional. Please note that the ceremony will take place outside in October, which could be 75 degrees or 45 degrees in NC, so we suggest layers!
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
We have a firm guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly invite only; we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
The venue has a parking lot for guests; there will be attendants day-of to direct you to the proper parking location. The venue allows our guests to leave their cars overnight, as long as they are picked up by noon the next day. However, since the venue is so close to downtown Asheville, we suggest considering a $6-$10 Lyft or Uber so you can fully enjoy the party!
We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
There will be passed hors-d'œuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a buffet-style dinner. If you have any severe allergies or restrictions, please let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate you.
October in the mountains means we may be lucky enough to see the leaves change colors! As NC-natives know, trying to predict fall or spring weather in NC is impossible! Historically, it averages about 65°F (18°C) during the day and 40°F (4.5°C) at night. Typically, rain storms move quickly in the mountains, so if it does rain, it doesn't stay for long!
