Corinne & Jer matched on Tinder. After months of talk & a lot of back & forth about a nice first date location, they chose Gooski’s instead, started what would become a tradition of sharing an order of cheese sticks at every place they’d go to that had them, & of course ended the evening at Rock Room. They even shared their first kiss outside on the street corner. They both had jobs and animals, & homes 45 minutes apart. But they made it work like they had nothing standing between them at all. They’d both finally found someone they enjoyed spending all of their alone time with. If anything was going to make Corinne fall in love with Jer forever, though, aiding and abetting her need to save random wildlife was definitely up there, and so far a bird, a fawn, a stray kitten, & a raccoon have sealed their fate. Finally, at 12:04am on 12.5.19, after Corinne’s first Phish show, after Jer drove them out of their way, nearly running a red light & taking random back streets for seemingly no reason, they were suddenly back in front of Rock Room, standing on that same street corner they had months earlier. Except this time, Jer had a ring in his hand. They’d known from nearly the beginning that they wanted to & would spend the rest of their lives together. Now they just had a reason to throw a big party about it. They’ve been waiting for over a year & a half past their ‘I will’s’ because their next step is joining not only their hearts, but their homes. Jer’s Dog Tela & Corinne’s alien Junie & six cats, Bastian, Remy, Bucket, Linus, Beeko, & Nameet, will now be forced to pack up & move to the country. Once they’re moved in, they want all of you to come celebrate their nuptials & the joining of their two separate houses into one wonderfully ridiculous home and a future together.
