That summer Corinna & Moses met while both working at Wright & Company in Downtown Detroit. Moses a Bartender and Corinna the restaurant's Pastry Chef. Through mutual friends they became closer and when Moses had the opportunity to work with Chef Michael Barrera at Latido as his Sous Chef, he brought Corinna along to be their Pastry Chef.
From friendship and working together creatively to dating, Corinna & Moses got to know each other best by doing what they love most: dining out, exploring the city, taking care of their little pup Theo and traveling. Moses quickly fit in with Corinna's large Italian family here in Detroit and Corinna traveled to Miami to meet The Peruvian Fishman family! They both fell in love with each other and the cultures and traditions of each other's background.
Moses planned a surprise date night that summer and hinted to Corinna they'd be going somewhere nice (so she'd wear a dress!!) Corinna didn't think much of it but decided to do her nails anyway... Moses took Corinna to Cranbrook Gardens, a place that had become special to them during their time dating. After much nervous walking around and moving from bench to bench, Moses asked Corinna to marry him with a ring he had designed, made with sapphires and diamonds that once belonged to his grandmother Mila. Corinna said yes and they celebrated the night dining out on delicious Kofta, Hummus, Shawarma, Tabbouleh, Babaganoush and Cocktails... while they called their family and friends!
