Birmingham is by far the closest airport. It is a very tiny airport, and check in and bags are always very quick. It is most convenient for travel; however, the Atlanta Airport offers way cheaper airfare.

Atlanta Airport offers the best deals for airfare. It is only about 2 hours away from Birmingham and about 2 1/2 hours from the wedding venue. There are plenty of things to do and see in Atlanta and Georgia. Atlanta Airport is generally a lot busier and sufficient time is needed for check in and security.
