Corey and I met at work back in 2013 when he got stationed at Nellis AFB while undergoing a Medical Evaluation Board for a heart condition. I was one of the Liaison Officers in the Medical Boards Office (as well as Jenn, and a few other girls) and he got assigned to our section doing admin work until his board was complete. The board process takes several months so over the course of that time, we all got to know Corey better and soon after adopted him in to our circle. He had a very welcoming energy about him so it wasn’t hard at all for us to forge a friendship with him. He was very cool and down to earth. Easy to talk to and a great listener. I also found his life abroad to be very interesting. (Fast Forward) It wasn’t until several months into the friendship and once he no longer worked in our office that I realized I had feelings for him. Mind you, I had been single for 5 years and hadn't had feelings for anyone in that time. So I was really taken aback like hold up…lol. Could these be actual feelings?!?? So I knew it wasn’t something I could ignore. I played it cool for a while and waited until the time was right (and appropriate) to express said feelings. When all was said and done, it turned out that the feelings were mutual and from that point on we went from being just friends to being so much more…More than I could have ever dreamed he would be to me. This man has been an amazing addition to my life. Truly one of the best people I know and such a breath of fresh air (most of the time anyway, lol)! I always tell him that I feel our meeting was not by chance and that his heart is what brought him to Vegas (literally!). Thank God for his heart, as I truly believe that is what led him directly to me <3<3<3
