The Ocracoke lighthouse is the second oldest lighthouse in the nation! It is a stunning view, especially at sunset.
The horses in Ocracoke came from a Spanish shipwreck from hundreds of years ago. They are unique horses and you are able to see them. They used to roam wildly around the island, but have since been penned for their safety.
Ocracoke is full of many activities. Most notably, Blackbeard was killed here and his ship was found off the coast and is on display at the NC Maritime Museum. You can do other fun activities, like deep sea fishing, kayaking, ATV tour and plenty more!
