Budgeting for Your Trip

We know that asking our guests to travel to a small town on Maryland’s Eastern Shore might make attending our wedding more difficult. While we completely understand that not everyone will be able to make the trip, we truly hope to celebrate this special weekend with as many of our favorite people as possible. In that spirit, we’ve created a simple tool to help you estimate the cost of attending. Combined with the early notice provided by our save-the-dates, we hope this gives you the time and clarity you need to make the trip feel realistic and manageable. Just click the “View” button below, enter a few basic details about your group’s travel plans, and you’ll receive a personalized budget estimate via email.

Hotel

Tidewater Inn

101 East Dover Street, Easton, MD 21601
 (401) 822-1300

The Tidewater Inn isn't just our wedding venue, it’s also where all of our weekend events will take place or be centered around. We strongly encourage guests to stay at The Tidewater Inn for the full weekend, both for the convenience of being close to everything and for the joy of spending more time together. Plus, the after-party following our reception will be held at the hotel bar—so you won’t want to miss that! We’ve reserved a block of rooms at discounted rates ranging from $259 to $379 per night, depending on the room type. A two-night minimum stay is required. However, if you’d like to come early or stay a little longer, you can absolutely extend your reservation—and as long as it’s part of the same booking, you’ll receive the same discounted rate for any additional nights. To book, please call The Tidewater Inn directly at (410) 822-1300 and mention the Painter/Walls Wedding to access the block and special pricing. Booking online will not link your reservation to our block or apply the discounted rates. If you’d prefer to stay elsewhere, that’s totally fine. Easton has a number of charming Airbnbs, bed & breakfasts, and other hotels that would make great options. Just keep in mind that we’re only able to offer discounted rates through our block at The Tidewater Inn, and we won’t be able to arrange transportation to and from other accommodations. If you’re staying in downtown Easton, though, you should be able to walk to the venue. (Rideshare options like Uber and Lyft are very limited in town.) If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to either Corbin (918-919-2935) or Sam (469-491-9274). We are so incredibly grateful that you are joining us for this weekend, and we truly can’t wait to celebrate together!

The BayRunner Shuttle

The BayRunner Shuttle offers a convenient and direct connection from BWI Airport to Easton, MD. Shuttles depart BWI every two hours from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM and take approximately one hour, according to the current schedule on their website. Seats are limited and must be reserved in advance, so we recommend booking as early as possible—especially with the increased travel volume expected over Labor Day Weekend. A round-trip ticket costs approximately $150 for solo travelers, but if you book multiple tickets together, the rate drops to about $126 per person. While many guests may find it more economical to share a rental car for the weekend—especially since The Tidewater Inn offers free parking—the BayRunner Shuttle can be a stress-free option for those traveling on their own or who prefer not to drive.

Flight

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

We strongly recommend flying into Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), as it’s the most convenient airport for reaching Easton, MD. BWI is about 56 miles (roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes by car) from The Tidewater Inn. One option for getting to Easton from the airport is the BayRunner Shuttle, which offers direct service several times a day. Once in Easton, a local taxi can take you from the shuttle drop-off point to your accommodations, including The Tidewater Inn. If you're traveling with a group or coordinating arrival times with other guests, it may be more economical—and more convenient—to rent a car or arrange a private car service. When you RSVP, you’ll be asked whether you’d like help coordinating airport transportation. If you opt in, we’ll follow up to collect your flight details and assist with carpooling or shared travel arrangements. Car rentals are available through all major providers at BWI. If you’re considering a private car service, options in the Baltimore area include Baltimore Black Car, Washingtonian Luxury Limousine, and FreedomCar. Please note: there is no public transportation that travels directly from any airport to Easton, so whether you choose the BayRunner, a rental car, or a private service, you’ll need to plan for that leg of the trip. Also, keep in mind that Labor Day Weekend traffic in coastal Maryland can be heavy, so we recommend allowing extra time for travel.

Flight

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

While we recommend flying into BWI for convenience, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is also a great option—especially if you’d like to spend some time exploring our favorite city in the world before or after the wedding. Washington, D.C. is full of history, culture, and charm, and we’d love for you to experience it! There’s no direct shuttle from DCA to Easton, but you can easily rent a car or arrange a private car service for the 74-mile drive (about 1 hour and 45 minutes). If you’re planning to include D.C. in your trip, let us know—we’d be thrilled to share an itinerary of our favorite sights, restaurants, and experiences in the city. Showing off D.C. is one of our most cherished activities! Feel free to call Corbin (918-919-2935) or Sam (469-491-9274) with any questions regarding travel.
