Ouray
A 50 minute drive south of Montrose is the quaint town of Ouray, Colorado. Consider a jeep tour from town into the surrounding mountains, visit Box Canyon or soak in town at the Ouray Hot Springs.
Telluride
Telluride is beautiful Colorado mountain town about 1 1/2 hours from Montrose. Consider driving to Telluride over Dallas Divide, one of the most picturesque areas in Colorado, past Ralph Lauren's 17,000 acre RRL ranch into Telluride. Once in Telluride consider visiting Bridal Veil Falls, a 365 foot waterfall or ride the gondola to the top of Telluride Ski resort.
