Things to be aware of

**August 4, 2021 update - with covid cases on the rise, Maine has updated regulations to requiring masks inside. This means that masks will be required on the transportation that is being provided, as well as when not eating at DiMillos. Also, as of right now we are having a cool August (knock on wood), with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Please pack accordingly and be happy to have a reprieve from the heat! Many of our venues have mentioned that masks will be required of guests. This may change, but for now assume that you will need masks where ever you go in Portland. The weather can be amazing in August. It can also be Hot, or cold, or wet, or dry. I think you get it, but be sure to have a light coat or something for the cold evenings. There are many cobblestone streets as well, so be sure to wear shoes that will survive any trek necessary.

We want your help!

We are planning to feature music by everyone by having a playlist. Please help us build the perfect reception playlist by adding song to this list https://open.spotify.com/playlist/59Kgq9e7aysO1aUUjLOJX8?si=f00c17014d244d21

A little about Fate

I (Cora) moved to New England in 2012 for graduate school after I finished school at Middle Tennessee State University. I moved around while trying to find my way. Little did I know that Jordan was doing the same, but where I had just left. Jordan also went to MTSU, just after I was no longer in TN. Once he graduated, Jordan moved to CT, where I happened to be living with one of my best friends. In typical Millennial fashion, we met on a dating site. I mean to see someone that had gone to the same college as me, 1500 miles away, just seemed too good to be true. After a couple of low key dates (bonfire, rafting, movies), we began our relationship. I am so thankful that we both went to MTSU and found our way to New England.

Our Engagement Story

2/23/2020 This morning we were packing up and we went out on the balcony to enjoy the view. We were talking about how it was a bummer we didn’t get to enjoy it more! And he pointed out some pretty houses on the other side of the lake and I was like oh yeah. I turned away from him. He cleared his throat and I turned around and he was down on one knee and said I knew I wanted to marry you and now seemed the perfect time to ask. I started bawling and said yes!
