We met in the parking lot of Rudy's Bar-B-Q for Matt's company's annual party. We arrived in the parking lot at the same time and when we met, we hit it off right away. Apparently it was love at first sight because the rest is history! We spent the 4th of July together at a friend's house watching fireworks. Our journey together evolved on that day two years ago so we wanted to celebrate the day by having our wedding on the 4th of July this year!
One day in January we were walking around Windsor Lake and Matt got down on his knee to tie his shoe while saying "wouldn't this be such a pretty place for a proposal?" He didn't propose that day, but knew it would trick me into thinking he was going to propose. After that, I didn't think anything of it when we went on a walk around the lake on March 1st. Matt suggested sitting down on a bench to enjoy the nice weather. After sitting for awhile, we got up and started walking again, I was slightly ahead. Matt brought up how last time we walked around the lake he mentioned proposing here. As I turned around, I saw Matt on one knee with a beautiful ring and in the exact same spot he made the comment last time. It was an amazing day that neither of us will forget!
