Ride a trolly around Sonoma and check out a bunch of great spots in a single afternoon! (For our Northwestern friends, the last time we did this we learned our tour guide had founded Nevins!)
The oldest commercial winery in California, Buena Vista's historic charm remains—as do the original Champagne cellars. The Carneros grounds feature a museum of 19th-century wine tools and tranquil picnic grounds. The winery’s location is ideal for varietals ranging from merlot and syrah to chardonnay and pinot. Request a cave tasting!

Right near Height Ashbury is Golden Gate Park. If you've never been, go! You can rent bikes and bike all the way through the park to the ocean.
For a GORGEOUS look at the Golden Gate Bridge from above and a wonderful hike, take a walk at Lands End. Beautiful, especially on a clear day. Cliffs overlooking the ocean.
You can also walk along Crissy Field. Beautiful beach and looks up at the bridge. Lots of off leash dogs literally living their best life.
Muir Woods is right in Marin, between San Francisco and Sonoma. A wonderful place to go if you want to walk through a forest of California Redwoods. Plenty of "oohs" and "ahhs" await. YOU DO NEED A RESERVATION.
Another Redwoods option, closer to Sonoma and no need for a reservation!
Martinis and (vegan) weenies! What's not to love!! Slowly becoming one of our favorite spots!
