I heard Highway 1 is closed, how do I get to the wedding?

Answer

Caltrans recently announced that Highway 1 at Regent’s Slide is expected to reopen to through traffic by the end of March 2026. Since the reopening timeline could still change, we recommend booking accommodations in Big Sur near Fernwood Resort, or in Carmel/Monterey. This way, even if the highway is not open in time, you’ll still be able to drive south on Highway 1 to reach the wedding location in Big Sur.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at ceremony site by 3:30PM on Saturday! Keep in mind parking can sometimes take a minute to find, so ensure you give yourself some extra time.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation between hotels and the ceremony. We recommend renting a car or coordinating carpools with other guests for the easiest way to get around Big Sur.
