Hotels and Transportation

Please see information on our recommended hotels below. There are also many Air BnB's and other hotels in Durham. We recommend using ride share apps or your hotel shuttle during our wedding weekend to get around Durham. Shuttle schedules will soon be posted! There will be shuttle transportation provided from the Duke Chapel to the reception venue immediately following the ceremony and the shuttle will transport guests back to hotel areas and downtown Durham after the reception. Please note your hotel and whether your party will use the shuttle service in your RSVP.

Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club

We have secured a select number of rooms in a room block at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club for our wedding weekend! Please reserve your room by October 5, 2026 to receive the group rate. You may book your room in one of the following ways: Online: Use the booking link provided below. By Phone: Call the hotel reservations department at the number provided and request the Bussey-Cooksey Wedding Group (Group ID: 1198785) The hotel is just a 5-minute drive from our ceremony location at Duke Chapel, making it an easy and convenient place to stay. For Golf Amenities: Tee times are available 14 days in advance for the general public and up to 30 days in advance for hotel guests. The Hilton Garden Inn is central to many restaurants and Duke's campus and Ninth Street. This hotel is a 10 minute ride to our wedding ceremony at Duke Chapel. The Durham Hotel

The Durham Hotel is central to many restaurants and lively downtown activities, and is a 10 minute ride to our wedding ceremony at Duke Chapel and a 5 minute walk to our welcome party. Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)

RDU is a 20 minute drive from Duke University. Ubers from the airport are readily available.
