Brock and I met as coworkers at a gym Alex’s brother owned (see below). He frustrated me because he was such a hard worker and really nice on top of it. I couldn’t understand him until he introduced me to Jesus. We held Bible study together and got to mentor a lot of kids in the community. I was the biggest kid. I got to see him pursue his wife in a Christ like way which made me believe I could try that too. He’s now a father to the most beautiful little girl. I have helped Brock move apartments.

Nick is my older brother. He’s been the one I watched the most as I grew up. I’ve watched him play video games as I sat on the bed. Ive watched him struggle at math and succeed at seeking God at youth group. I’ve watched him become the best and most patient dad I know. I hope I’m just like him to my children. I have helped Nick move the most.

Alex and I met in Señora Jon’s class in 6th Grade at JC Booth middle school. I would watch him eat pesto pizza for lunch (so spoiled) and we would float between friend groups. God kept putting us next to one another throughout high school and in college until we really needed each other's friendship later down the road. We got to see the good the bad and the ugly with one another and I know I can tell him anything. He’s the most insightful person and will reach out to help no matter your past. I’ve helped Alex move apartments.

Joe and I also met as I worked at the gym elite performance institute. He worked at the neighboring baseball facility. He’s protected me from 97 mph baseballs flying at my head. He’s encouraged me to work as hard as I can at film. He’s quite possibly the funniest person I’ve met. Ask him how hard he can punch. He’s turned into a rockstar of a man and I’m so happy I get to keep witnessing it. I am helping Joe move into his first house!

My older sister and oldest friend. Many of my earliest memories were of her standing up for me to the neighborhood kids (she definitely beat me up too, but not in front of the other kids). She was such a good sister and is now an amazing role model as a spouse and mother of 3. She has shown me how to forgive, how to honor our parents, how to be calm in the midst of chaos. Erin is brave and kind. She is a peacemaker and a servant at heart. She is so many things that I am not, and I get to learn from her. I know I have a friend for life in Erin, she is more than I could have ever asked for in a sister.

Addy and I have been best buddies since running cross country together in high school. She thought my name was Miranda for the first 3 months. She has seen me in all of my seasons and has loved me well in all of them. Addy started following Christ in her senior year of high school, and I remember being so curious about it. She wasn't like most other Christians I'd known, and she always received me in such kindness no matter what mess I brought her. It has been such a gift to watch each other grow up. Also one time I had been really sad for like 6 months, she told me to buy myself a little treat and get over it (lovingly), and it was better than any advice any counselor has ever given me.

Rachel was my roommate in Atlanta for 2 years. We met through a Bible study with Addy, I had no idea the depth of friendship I would quickly make with her. One of the most kind, wise, hard-working, and intentional people I have ever met. Rachel created a wedding email address and website for Tommy and I THE DAY we got engaged. She was an amazing source of wisdom and encouragement as Tommy and I began dating and still is as we prepare for marriage. Her now husband Jeff has become a dear friend as well. But I think I miss living with her toy poodle Pepper the most.

Rachel has been one of my best friends since college. She has loved me through so many seasons of life, and it has been such a gift to grow up into adults together. Rachel has such a heart for Christ, and spends so much of her time thinking and praying for other people. I have literally seen her transformed by Him. Rachel is brilliant and successful and hardworking, she's honest and humble, quick to admit her mistakes and ask for help. She is an amazing friend. This photo is one of my favorite memories, a big group of us hiked up to an alpine lake in Montana, and her and James shared they were having a little girl (via pink cookies).

Best friends since grad school! Casey and I have spent many days together just saying "yes" to random activities and making so many fun memories. We love to go to concerts, sporting events, hikes, have played on many many intramural teams together. On our fishing trips, Casey always has the time of her life no matter what the conditions or catch- and reminds us to reapply sunscreen! She has such a heart for Christ and pushes me to know and love him more.

Best friends since grad school! We both work at the Shepherd center together (on different units) and it has always been such a comfort to me to have a best friend that can relate to the challenges of work. Kate also loves the dawgs, concerts, and loves to FISH! We go on a fishing trip with her family annually and I look forward to it each year. She is such a fun host, running around baiting everyone's hooks and refilling drinks, leaving her line out to conveniently hook a shark - EVERY. TIME. She has been a safe place to share my heart as I learn about myself and about God. She is such a gift.

Big Al and I have been best buds since grad school in Augusta! She was my first friend and has been a loyal friend ever since. Alex is a tiny little firecracker, one of the hardest-working women I have ever met. Her yes means yes, and I look up to her in so many ways. She has been a rock in so many seasons of life. When Alex catches a fish, she reels in as fast as she possibly can, screaming and hollering the whole way, no matter how big or small the fish is. She always claims to have hooked a record-breaking Goliath grouper, but can never seem to land it. Maybe next year, Big Al!

Nathalie Steely

Nathalie became one of my best friends in graduate school. She discipled me as I began to follow Christ, guiding me along as I tried to make sense of life, faith, adulthood. She has told me many hard truths, that I am only just beginning to see the wisdom in. She has seen many of the deepest and ugliest parts of me, and loved them. She is compassionate, gentle, and so so wise. Nathalie lives in the middle east with her family now and is very pregnant with baby #4 so is obviously not allowed to travel across the world! We will miss her!

JEB. John Edgar Blazevich. Addy's other half and Blakely's dad. We asked him to officiate our wedding because he loves the Lord and has wisdom beyond his years. We have watched him love Addy well, and we know he takes marriage seriously. Plus he's funny.
