We met at the rehearsal dinner before the wedding of Madison (Christine's roommate) and Alex (Tommy's high school friend) Alvarez. Tommy went out of his way to introduce himself and spend time with Christine throughout the weekend. Despite living in different cities, we made time to get to know each other. In dating, we found out how quickly liking each other would turn into questions about the future. Four seasons later, Tommy got down on one knee to ask an overdue question! And that's history!

Christine's parents were born and raised, met and were married in New Orleans. Christine has always enjoyed visiting the city with its amazing food, music, and culture. She always loved the big live oak trees in New Orleans' City Park and Bay St. Louis. Braithwaite has the perfect mix of the two, 1) close to New Orleans 2) great trees. Tommy and Christine felt this was a great way to honor her parents- and get married in a fun and pretty place. So that's the logic! As an aside, Tommy had 3 bowls of Sam's gumbo and decided everyone he knows needs to try it too!

God loves marriage! Our love for each other is a small part of a much bigger and better story. We can't wait for you to join us in celebrating!
