Peabody is located next to historical Salem, Massachusetts, home to the notorious witch trials, the birthplace of the National Guard and the backdrop to such 90's cult classics as 'Hocus Pocus' and 'Sabrina The Teenage Witch'. If you have some free time feel free to check out the witch museum, go on a ghost tour or just wander around the area a month after the Halloween rush has subsided.
Faneuil hall
One of the most popular areas in Boston for sightseeing and shopping is Faneuil Hall. During the holiday season Faneuil Hall also is home the annual Boston Common Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony. The ceremony is held on the last Thursday in November or the first Thursday in December at 6pm so most likely will be held on Thursday the 2nd if you want to see it or stop by later to see the setup.
Monument Restaurant & Tavern
If you're looking for a grabbing a bite to eat there's many great options around the Boston area. Chris and Maggie's favorite place is 'Monument Restaurant & Tavern' in Charlestown. ...It's mostly their favorite restaurant because of it's one of the few restaurant options available near their apartment but it's still good nonetheless. Maggie recommends the Guacamole and Chris would suggest the Wood Fire Roasted Chicken Wings.
