Brendan was attending an Air Traffic Program in Schenectady during the Spring of 2022, and Caitlin was teaching in Schenectady. A little "swipe right" one night led us to each other. Given our schedules, it took a few weeks before our first date. After a last minute change of destinations, we ended meeting at Druthers Bar. In typical fashion, Brendan arrived 30 minutes early and ordered a shot of Jameson. He can still remember the first thing he said when she walked in, "damn, she's cute". (He never was a man of many words). Over buffalo chicken dip, Jameson, and tequila soda with "a splash of cran", we talked the night away as if we had known each other for years. By pure coincidence, the casino was within walking distance, Brendan taught Caitlin how to play blackjack and she had quite the luck that night. Unsure of our individual future plans, we dated casually for a bit, even though deep down we both knew this was it. From many trips to Redington Beach, FL, moving to Richmond, VA, finally moving back to New York and buying a house in Troy, it was always going to be us. Four years later we can't wait to celebrate with you all!
