This where the ceremony, welcome event, and reception is going to be. Rooms are booking fast. I also want to let everyone know that you do not have a stay at the Sandals resort either. I know some people are going through a travel agent and getting some good deals as well. Feel free to use a travel agent, but let the Bride know if you will be staying at the resort. The resort is all inclusive which means all drinks and food is free! There are 16 restaurants to choose from and 11 bars as well. You are not allowed to tip the employees and if an employee gets caught taking money they will be terminated. So please, if you are going to tip them do it on the side, but it is not necessary. We are also staying in a nice area of Jamaica and there is so much to do so I really encourage everyone to explore your options. You only live once so live your best life while your in Jamaica! Flight

Cleveland or Detroit

Cleveland and Detroit has tons of flights going to Jamaica. Flights are going to be your responsibility to book on your own. I recommend booking on a Tuesday morning (5am-8am) because they usually have really good discounted flights on this day. When booking you can either fly into Kingston or Montego Bay, there is a shuttle available at both locations. The ride to Ocho Rios is the same. The Bride & Groom will be flying into Kingston.

After flight is booked, I recommend calling the reservation department. They will need to know which airport your flying into, your flight number, the airline, and the time that you are landing. They will come and pick you from the airport and take you to the resort. They will also take you back to the airport when it is time for you to leave you just have to get ahold of the the reservation department. I recommend that when you call for the shuttle to pick you up on from the airport, you let them know your flight info for leaving as well. The car ride from the airport to the resort is about 1 1/2 hours so I recommend dressing for the weather.

Passport

Make sure everyone has their passports and new IDs. You have to make sure you have the passport symbol on your new ID and your actual passport when traveling to Jamaica. If you do not have your passport yet, I recommend starting the process now because it can take up to 6 months to receive. You can apply for you passport at your local post office. You will need to have a picture taken (I got mines taken at CVS or Rite Aid) as well. If you decide to get your passport from your local post office just make sure you go online and setup an appointment with them to do your passport process because it is by appointment ONLY. The passport is usually around $100. If you have any questions about your passport I would contact your local post office or visit their website for more information.
