No, there will not be an itinerary. Just make sure you are there for the wedding and the welcoming event. Other than that, enjoy Jamaica, treat it as a vacation for you as well.
There is a shuttle that will take you back and forth from the airport to the hotel. The day that you book your flight call the reservation department and let them know the airline you are flying with, the time you land, the flight number, and what airport you are flying into. They recommend you fly into Montego Bay or Kingston. It is however a 1 1/2 car ride from either airport so be prepared. When you get to the hotel, make sure to let the hotel know when your flight leaves so they cam shuttle you back to the airport. Enjoy the view on your way to the resort!
No, it is not required but highly recommended. There are a lot of resorts by Sandals. Sandals is in all inclusive resort so please keep that in mind when looking at room rates. Its all you can eat and drink for free and you are NOT allowed to tip. Also there are a lot of free activities such as scuba diving, boat rides, and other fun stuff included in your stay at Sandals. If you are planning on not staying at Sandals let me know as soon as possible.
Yes. Make sure you have the new ID as well with the passport sticker because you will need both.
I believe the flight is about 6 hours
The best day to book a flight is on Tuesday mornings (5am-8am)
You can call the 1-888-77-SANDALS and talk to any reservation clerk. Make sure you let them know that you are with a wedding party and to give them the Wedding ID number (WG20144489). The agent will give you prices on rooms and you can choose any room that fits your needs and price range. You will then have the option of paying the full deposit ($400) or paying $98 and then 21 days later being charged the extra $321.
No you do not. There is a website on the sandals page where you can make payments as you please. You make a payment every week, every month, or however you want to do it. That is totally up to you. Just make sure your placed is completely paid off by May 11, 2021.
You can fly into Montego Bay or Kingston. There is a shuttle for both locations and the drive is pretty much the same coming to Ocho Rios. It is a 1 1/2 hour drive so dress accordingly. Make sure when you book your flight you call the resort to setup your shuttle.
I would buy my passport now. Sometimes it can take awhile to receive it and especially with the whole COVID situation its best to just get it out the way. You also want to leave some extra time in between just in case they have to send back some info and you have to re-do your passport.
I would, you never know if you are going to want to buy something outside of the resort or at the resort. You should always carry "what if" money because accidents do happen. But as far as food and drinks are involved at the resort that is all included in your stay.
I have a "Things to do" tab on the website. If you click that it will give you a bunch of different activities that are included. You can also go to the Sandals website and get further information there.
Yes. The covid test at the resort will come up to your room and test you 72 hours before your flight. The results come back within 24 hours. It is completely free and you have to get tested before you can fly back into the US.
If you test positive while in Jamaica, the resort will have you stay there for 14 days, free of charge. Remember, it is an all inclusive resort so food and alcohol will all be paid for if you do have to stay!
Per the travel site, you do not have to get tested before you leave unless your specific airline requires it. Personally, I would get tested before you leave just so that you know if you have it or not but I do not believe that it is required.
