One of our favorite places to watch the sunset and pack a picnic. Pairs well with Oval Beach Blonde Ale from New Holland Brewing Co.
The BARge
Located in the heart of downtown, right next to Ship-N-Shore and on the Kalamazoo River. The outdoor top level couldn’t be a better spot to grab a couple pre-wedding cocktails!
Mount Baldhead Park
One of our favorite hikes in the area! Only 302 stairs to the top of Mt Baldhead with a view of the surrounding Saugatuck area, then hike the 1 mile loop trail in and around the scenic forests and beach.
Ravines Golf Club
Book a tee time and play at a this Arnold Palmer designed course located right outside downtown Saugatuck.
Clearbrook Golf Club & Restaurant
Local golf club that always has open tee times. Affordable and not too difficult. The restaurant at Clearbrook has some of the best food in town so stop in their restaurant for lunch or dinner if you have time time!
Virtue Cider
Kick back and sip on some Michigan-brewed hard cider and live music at a cool outdoor venue. Located about 10 min drive from downtown Saugatuck. No reservations needed.
The Southerner
One of our favorite restaurants in town, The Southerner specializes in fried chicken and classic southern dishes. Located right on the water on the edge of downtown Saugatuck. It tends to get busy in the summer and they do not accept reservations.
The Farmhouse Deli & Pantry
Looking for a quick breakfast or lunch? This AMAZING deli has some awesome sandwiches and deli items. Pick up some food to go (pro tip: order online ahead of time to skip the line) and take them to the beach or somewhere else on the water!
Saugatuck Dunes State Park
Park at the trailhead and walk about a mile to the Lake Michigan overlook. It's gorgeous, we highly recommend it, even for non-hikers. We've been known to pack blankets, snacks and most importantly, a couple bottles of wine and enjoy the sunset over the lake.
