Jud Weibe Memorial Trail

Jud Weibe Memorial Trail

a 3.1 moderately strenuous hike that leaves right from the center of town! Enjoy views overlooking the town of Telluride, Bear Creek, and Bridal Veil falls. Estimated time: 1-2 hours depending on pace

Ajax Peak

Ajax Peak

This is the hike where we got engaged, and one of our absolute favorites. We recommend parking as far up the road to the Bridal Veil as possible to begin the hike. Expect a 4-5 hour, moderately strenuous hike with some areas of exposure, so not for the faint hearted

Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Veil Falls are the tallest free-falling falls in Colorado. You can either hike the switchback road up to the falls or drive if you have a high-clearance vehicle right to the base of this breathtaking waterfall. Distance: 1.8 mi. one way to top of the falls; Elevation Gain: 1,650 feet; Difficulty: Easy-Moderate

Bear Creek Falls

Bear Creek Falls

one of Telluride’s most popular trails. The beautiful and well-marked wooded trail ends in a magnificent set of waterfalls and an unbeatable view of Telluride; distance: 2.5 mi. one way; difficulty: Easy-Moderate; time: 1 hour one way

Via Ferrata

Via Ferrata

Also not for the faint hearted but certainly to be the highlight of your trip should you choose to partake! Make sure you are with experienced climbers or using a guide. The word via ferrata means "iron road" and is an aided climbing route consisting of a cable and footpegs You will require a harness and climbing gear for this hike. Begin at the end of the box canyon (near bridal veil) and scale along the 500 foot walls while taking in some of the best views in Telluride.

Wasatch Trail

Wasatch Trail

Wasatch Trail can be accessed from Bear Creek Trail or the top of the resort (hiking up see forever ski trail). This is a spectacular hike with views of Telluride's backcountry and the famous San Joaquin Couloir. Expect a longer hike, approximately 6-8 hours depending on pace with >4,000 ft elevation gain. This is a true winner in our book if you have the time and energy!

Silver Lake

Silver Lake

Silver lake is a hidden gem above Bridal Veil. This is short but strenuous hike that arrives with breathtaking views of Silver Lake and sweeping views of the town of Telluride. Expect a 2-3 hour hike and approximately 1,700 ft elevation gain.

Cornet Falls

Cornet Falls

The Cornet Creek Trail is a short hike with a spectacular finish at the 80 foot Cornet Falls. The hike provides excellent views of the resort while navigating through unique red rock. Note that the hike requires some scrambling on loose soil and rock so wear sturdy shoes. Distance: .25 mi - Difficulty: Easy-Moderate; Time: Less than 1 hour round trip

San Miguel River Trail

San Miguel River Trail

The San Miguel River Trail follows the San Miguel River through the length of the town of Telluride. This is the perfect strolling, biking, and jogging path with unbeatable views of the box canyon while you travel along the river. The trail can be accessed anywhere throughout the town of Telluride

Trout Lake

Trout Lake

This is a favorite of Conor's and mine. Trout lake is a crystal clear alpine lake that sits underneath a dramatic landscape. We enjoy paddle-boarding and swimming here (despite frigid temps) during the summer. This is about a 15 minute drive from the town of Telluride. Enjoy a nice walk along the lake up to the famous Trout Lake Trestle.

Biking!

Biking!

Bike right from the gondola! The top of the gondola provides access to the Bike Park as well as miles and miles of smooth, flowy trails. Two of our favorites are Village Trail and Prospect Trail. You can rent bikes from our local shop "Bootdoctors" either in Mountain Village or at the base of the gondola in town. Check out Telluride's website for a trail map and reach out to Conor or I with any questions you may have.
