Flight

If flying, arrive at the Philadelphia International Airport or Harrisburg International Airport

Philadelphia International Airport is larger and has more flight options, though it is around 1 hour and 30 minutes from Lancaster/Adamstown, PA. Alternatively, you may arrive through the Harrisburg International Airport, which is 35 minutes from Lancaster/Adamstown, PA. Choose the airport that works best with your needs!

Train

Our recommendation is to rent a car, but you have the option of arriving by train!

Ale traveled on the Amtrak between Philadelphia and Lancaster for the entire time she attended Temple University in Philadelphia, and she loved traveling by train! This train also travels from Harrisburg, both travel on the route called "Keystone Service." If you are flying in from the Philadelphia Airport, you will need to take the SEPTA Airport Line regional rail trail going towards Center City and get off at the stop for 30th Street Station. Once there, either visit the counter to buy a ticket on the next train or to plan ahead, we have included the Amtrak link below! As a note, please make sure you select Lancaster, PA (LNC) instead of Lancaster, CA (LCS)! Would not want anyone to accidentally arrive to California! If you are flying in from Harrisburg, it is recommended you take an Uber/Lyft from the airport to the Downtown Harrisburg Amtrak station. The Amtrak trains from both Philadelphia and Harrisburg run every hour, so you will be able to find one with a schedule that works for your arrival at the airport!
