FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah Podella and Charlie Connor
Question

Where do I RSVP?

Answer

Keep an eye out for official invitations this Spring! Once yours arrives, you’ll be able to RSVP right here on the website with just a few clicks.

Question

Where is the Happily Ever After celebration?

Answer

In Manhattan, Illinois at a beautiful family-friendly home where we can relax, laugh, and blend our families. The address will be shared in your invitation and on the RSVP page.

Question

Is this a kid-friendly celebration?

Answer

Absolutely. Celebrating as a family with Charlie’s children — Annie, Jack, Teddy, and Finn — is at the heart of this day. They’ve been a joyful part of our journey, and we want this celebration to reflect the love, laughter, and togetherness that comes with blending our families. There will be plenty for the kids to enjoy, and plenty of moments for all of us to share.

Question

Where can I book my hotel room?

Answer

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at Candlewood Suites Joliet Southwest for our guests on July 18. You can book online using our group link available in the 'Travel' section of this website or call 779-206-2915 and reference the Connor Wedding or group code CNR. The hotel shares a front desk with Holiday Inn, so please be sure to mention Candlewood Suites when booking.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive between 2pm-3pm so you don’t miss the fun! We’ll have food, drinks, and games going throughout the evening.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We can’t wait to celebrate together! Since we’re hosting at a private residence with limited capacity, our guest list is set. Your RSVP will show everyone we’ve planned for, including any plus one.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Relaxed, but still polished. Sundresses, jumpsuits, nice tops, khakis, chinos, button-downs. Comfortable shoes welcome. Kids can wear whatever lets them bounce and play. There is a pool and hot tub at the venue, so please also feel free to bring swimsuits!

Question

What is on the menu?

Answer

We’re excited to have food trucks rotating throughout the celebration so everyone can enjoy great food at their own pace. In the afternoon, we’ll have classic American favorites, and in the evening, wood-fired pizzas made fresh on site—with vegetarian options available throughout the day. There will also be plenty of shared snacks, appetizers, and sweet treats for everyone to enjoy.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes. We’ll have a fully stocked, open bar for the adults to enjoy throughout the celebration. Kids will have their own fun options too — sodas, juices, and playful mocktails so they can feel part of the cheers. Beer, wine, and spirits will be available, with spirit service beginning around 5pm.

Question

Will there be activities for both kids and adults to enjoy?

Answer

Absolutely. We’ve thoughtfully created spaces and experiences for every age to feel at home and have fun. Kids can dive into the bouncy house room, swimming pool, mini golf course, video game projector, foosball, and plenty of games that invite laughter and play. Adults can enjoy the bar, pool table, poker table, ping pong, hot tub, and a cozy bonfire as the night winds down. Our hope is that everyone finds their own moments of joy, connection, and celebration throughout the day.

Question

Should we bring swimsuits?

Answer

Yes! With a pool and hot tub at the house, we want the kids (and adults!) to feel free to jump in, splash, unwind, and embrace the fun of the day. It’s all part of creating memories together.

Question

Is the event indoors, outdoors, or both?

Answer

Both. We’ll be using the whole property — the cozy indoor spaces, the open backyard, the pool, the hot tub, and the bonfire area. We want the day to feel relaxed, warm, and full of places to gather and make memories.

Question

Should I bring anything?

Answer

Just yourself. Truly. If you plan to swim or sit by the fire later in the evening, feel free to bring a swimsuit or a light layer, but your presence is the only thing we really hope for.
