FAQs

If you have any other questions, please feel free to text Tara & Connor!
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding attire is black tie optional. We invite guests to dress in formal, elegant attire—gentlemen may choose tuxedos or dark suits with a tie or bow tie, and ladies are encouraged to wear evening gowns. We’re hoping the ceremony will take place outdoors on the grounds of Kilkea Castle, so ladies may want to keep this in mind when selecting heels.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Yes and no—children are very welcome to join us for the weekend at Kilkea Castle. However, the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be adults-only. If you’re planning to bring your kiddos for the weekend, please let us know—we’re happy to help arrange childcare.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally listed on your invitation. If you have been invited with a plus one, their name will appear when you RSVP. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We’re hoping (fingers crossed!) for a beautiful, sunny day so we can celebrate outdoors. That said, Ireland’s weather can be unpredictable, so the final decision will be made on the day based on conditions. Please keep this in mind when packing and plan accordingly.

Question

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place at Kilkea Castle in Kildare, Ireland. The ceremony (weather permitting) will take place outside.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive to the ceremony area no later than 3:15. The ceremony will start promptly at 3:30 and if you are late, you will not be able to join us for the wedding ceremony.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones or cameras) and we will ask you to put your phone away if we see it. We have hired an amazing team of photographers and videographers to capture this moment for us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want!
