The two of us matched on Hinge in December 2023 thanks to Connor's uncanny Ted Lasso Halloween costume prominently featured on his profile. After leaving Tara on "read" for three days for some "brilliant" and "rational" reason, Connor responded with an urgent date request: "Hey! I'm about to head to California for two weeks for the holidays. Any chance you're free tomorrow?" (truly a bulletproof date proposal). Tara thought "Why not?" and agreed to grab some happy hour apps and margaritas at Stewed Cow (R.I.P.) in Hoboken, where a mouse served as a third wheel for our first date. Afraid of causing a scene, Tara bit her tongue as our rodent friend skittered around. Despite the odds, we made it through not only the first date, but the dreaded two week holiday gap between our first date and any prospect of another one. Within minutes of touching down in Newark, Connor was en route to meet Tara in Hoboken again. We picked up right where we left off and have been nearly inseparable since. Here we are over two years later, ready to start our next chapter together by taking the show across the pond to Ireland.
