Question

Where will the ceremony be?

Answer

We are having a traditional Catholic ceremony which will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Charles.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We know many people will be traveling to Chicago, and we are so grateful. For your convenience, we have two room blocks available for guests: The Sheraton in Lisle (Marriott) and the DoubleTree Naperville/Lisle (Hilton). You can visit the "Travel" page on our website for more information about how to make a reservation. We also have other recommendations for those looking for a more immersive, walkable experience.

Question

I’d like to extend my stay through Saturday. Can I do that?

Answer

We encourage our guests to enjoy the weekend in Chicago/Chicagoland. Our hotel blocks allow you to extend your stay on the group rate through Saturday (checking out Sunday); however, you will need to call the hotels directly. Tell them you are with the Cummings/Abate wedding and would like to extend your reservation through Saturday with the group rate.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

You can check out our registry here on our wedding website!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving no earlier than 2:30 pm., and no later than 2:50. Be sure to budget a little extra time before that. It will take 30-40 minutes to travel from the hotel to the church.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

In the spirit of Danada’s charming, timeless and natural setting, we have set a “Garden Attire” dress code. What does that mean? Dresses, pantsuits, jackets & ties. Try something new or go tried-and-true. We encourage bold colors and florals, skinny and bow ties, fun hemlines, patterned shirts, ruffles and lace, and block heels if that’s more your style. Express yourself! Be mindful that the ceremony is in a Catholic church.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is ample parking at both the church and reception venue for those who will be driving themselves.

Question

Am I able to leave my car overnight?

Answer

Your safety is a priority to us. If you drive to the venue and have so much fun with us that you do not feel comfortable to drive, you can leave your car at the venue overnight. If this is a possibility, just let us know ahead of time. You must return for it by 10 am the next morning.
